Back To Our Roots: The Antique Brown Leather
RE-INTRODUCING, FOR A LIMITED TIME: ANTIQUE BROWN LEATHER + ADIBO AND MOGADO HI.
Back in the end of 2009, Oliberté kicked off its journey with several sleek sneaker styles, including the men’s Rovia and Hanobi (pictured below), and the women’s Elika. One of our first leathers we used to craft this shoe was the antique brown, a distressed nubuck leather sourced in Ethiopia. It’s a rich, warm brown leather with an almost buttery texture that helped establish our standard for high quality materials.
We soon found our true calling in the rustic chukka boot, which we named Adibo, for Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. We also crafted this style in the antique brown leather, setting the stage for where we are today, with a stellar collection of leathers and signature styles. But somewhere along the way, we left this classic leather behind.
To celebrate our origins, for a limited time, we’ve brought back this antique brown leather to the Adibo and also combined it with another staple, the Mogado HI. Because it’s never too early to celebrate where you came from. Click on either style below to shop:
